MARKHAM  –  March  15,  2010  –  Artisan  Complete  walked  away  with   9  statuettes  and  1  crystal  award  at  last  week’s  POPAI  Outstanding   Merchandising  Achievement  (OMA)  Awards  Gala,  honoring  the  most   innovative  and  effective  marketing  at-­retail  programs.
 
An  international  contingent  of  merchandising  designers  and   manufacturers  compete  for  the  coveted  International  Display  of  the   Year.  OMA  displays  are  judged  based  on  the  displays’  objectives,   design  and  engineering,  shopper  engagement,  retail  experience  and   sales  and  brand  performance  results.  More  than  450  entrants  from   over  100  companies  were  adjudicated  in  26  industry  categories.

Artisan  Complete  won  9  OMA  awards  for  their  point-­of-­purchase   displays.  Additionally,  Artisan  Complete  was  awarded  Display  of  the   Year  in  the  temporary  category.
 
This  year’s  POPAI  (The  Global  Association  for  Marketing  At-­Retail)  OMA   Awards  were  held  in  conjunction  with  Globalshop  2010,  at  The  Sands   in  Las  Vegas.  The  tradeshow  showcases  the  latest  in  retail  strategy,   design  and  technology.

Artisan Complete Is #1 In Canada For Outstanding Marketing At-Retail

Point of purchase campaigns take home 19 visual merchandising awards at GlobalShop 2009.

MARKHAM - April 7, 2009 – When the North American retail industry gathered for its annual GlobalShop trade show in Las Vegas in late March, Artisan Complete was once again the top Canadian supplier of retail communications solutions. The company was handed 19 Outstanding Marketing at Retail Achievement (OMA) Awards, the most of any Canadian company and second in North America.

“This is a big win for Artisan and more importantly for our clients,” said Kris Matheson, Artisan’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “The OMA Awards are a great reflection on Artisan’s design and manufacturing capabilities and are particularly important because they are based on the business results we deliver for our clients."

”The 19 awards included 6 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze, and spanned all categories including permanent, semi-permanent, temporary and digital display. The awards are shared with 17 Artisan clients including Microsoft, Hershey, Staples, Universal Studios, Red Bull, PromotivateLP, Specialized Bicycles, Rogers, General Mills, Johnson & Johnson, Sanford, Studio Licensing, Scott’s, Molson, Home Hardware, Diageo and the LCBO.

In addition to the strong overall performance, Artisan Complete’s digital merchandising team swept an entire category, taking home a bronze, silver, and gold medal for non-interactive experiential content. Trophies went to on-premise campaigns for Smirnoff and Heineken, and to an in-store wine promotion for the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.

The OMA Awards are judged by members of the retail marketing community including brands, retailers, agencies and suppliers. They are organized by POPAI, The Global Association for Marketing At-Retail and were announced as part of GlobalShop 2009 at the Sands Convention Centre in Las Vegas.

Speaker Series Examines How Brands and Retailers Can Get The Best Value For Their Marketing Spend

Important strategies outlined that help Marketers make the most of changing markets and shrinking budgets.

MARKHAM – October 14, 2008 - Last week marked the third quarterly Speaker Series for retail communication solutions provider Artisan Complete. With a packed house, business strategist and “growth guru” speaker Rick Spence explored the lessons to be learned from our current economic situation and strategies brands, retailers and agencies can employ to grow market share.

“Uncertain times can shake up markets,” said Spence. “But they also present tremendous opportunities to marketers who focus on three basic goals: truly understanding their target audience, offering superior value, and out-hustling the competition.”

Rick Spence, a Toronto-based writer and Marketing consultant, specializes in helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. As editor of PROFIT Magazine for 12 years, Rick currently writes regular columns on entrepreneurship and related issues for the National Post, PROFIT and MoneySense magazines. In this session, Rick covered the strategies for success during an uncertain economy. He outlined the steps Marketing professionals can undertake including ways to target their market more precisely, more impactful merchandising techniques they can employ and the importance of campaign measurement in order to respond to market shifts.

Above all, he urged marketers to mobilize all their staff in fighting back against negativity and economic weakness. “Your whole team is waiting to get involved in this,” he said. “Whenever there’s an overarching problem that threatens the whole organization, everyone feels more engaged, energized and stimulated.”

Connecting key players and industry experts in a networking and educational experience, Artisan Retail’s Speaker Series offers the latest perspectives on in-store merchandising. It provides a forum for discussing the issues and strategies surrounding the latest POP trends that affect brands, retailers and agencies at-retail presence.
