Zellers Holiday Curtain Call
John St. produced these social media spots promoting Zeller’s final holiday season sale, aptly named the “Festive Finale”. As most of you will know, Zellers will be closing up shop and making way for Target to make it’s grand entrance onto the Canadian retail stage in the coming months.
I’d love to see this brought to life at the store level, signage, standees, strolling mariachi bands and appearances by pant-less senior executives.
The final piece asks Zellers Facebook friends to vote for what type of holiday music should be piped throughout the stores during the holiday season. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Latin Mariachi actually won out?
Why wasn’t Zellers pushing these boundaries before this? I love the tongue planted firmly in cheek refences to the “bull terrier” and the “easy to spot” retailer.
